Ashton Keynes Angling Club

HQ: The Village Hall
Ashton Keynes
Wiltshire

In 1953 a group of local anglers founded Ashton Keynes Angling Club to develop and promote the increasing number of gravel pits in the area. Since then the Club has grown and now controls some of the finest mixed coarse fishing in the Cotswold Water Park. All of the Club's waters offer general and specimen fishing for carp, pike, tench, bream, perch and roach .

Neighbridge Lake (Lake 56) has a purpose built swim with wheel chair access for the less able-bodied angler. There is easy access with close parking to many of the swims on some of the Club's lakes.

In addition to the 'members only' waters, two lakes are available for fishing on a day ticket basis. They are, Neighbridge lake and Large lake, both are open all the year. Large lake is located within the Cotswold Country Park (formerly Keynes Country Park). Day tickets can be purchased from various outlets locally (more info).

Notice board

20 July 2010 - AKAC Club Treasurer required - Can you help?
The Club urgently seeks a Club Treasurer. Anthony Nash, the Club Secretary, who also took on the Treasurer's role at the AGM on a trial basis, is finding the Treasurer's work, on top of his secretarial duties, too demanding. The Treasurer's position on its own is not too onerous but owing to work pressures and trying to do both jobs Anthony is finding it a struggle (NB - he would also like a little time to go fishing too).
If any member can help and is interested in taking over the role of Club Treasurer will they please contact Anthony.Thank you.
