Manorbrook Lake (lake 59)

Members are allowed to night fish all Club waters

Members only - Fishing is allowed from 17 September until 31 March annually.

Manorbrook lake is only available to members for part of the year and the fishing is restricted to the south bank (Consult your permit). There is good pedestrian access and a hardcore track for cars along part of the bank, where fishing is allowed. However cars must NOT leave the hardcore track and be driven past the 'No vehicles beyond this point' signs, anybody caught doing so may be disciplined by the Club.

The lake offers the carp angler some excellent fishing, with carp in the thirties being reported occasionally. In the Winter months some members fish for the pike. There are tench in the lake, as well as, roach, perch and bream. Again like other waters in the Thamesmead complex, the quality of fish is down to the plentiful supply of food in the lake, with many of the species, being able to gorge themselves on the signal crayfish which inhabit the lake.
